& EQUIPMENT BUILDING. In January of 2007, we were notified by the SD Game, Fish & Parksthat our grant request had been accepted and the
PIR Fund would pay 3/4 of the cost of constructing a newbuilding. We did not get a signed contract from SDGF&P until last October. As it was so late in the year, and
contractors were very busy, it was decided to wait until this spring to start construction
. Our hopes are to havethe building built by the end of June. We also have plans to build two additional trap houses this year.
EXHIBITION SHOOTING.
We are very fortunate to have Tim Bradley, a member of Team BenelliU
.S.A., coming to entertain us on June 7th. All of Tim's performances with a Benelli are truly amazing, butthat's a small part of what he can do with a firearm. The thugs he does with a
.22 cal. pistol & a scoped rifle, leftor right handed, will truly blow you away!!
SPRING FLING. The 2008 Spring Fli
ng Fundraiser- for the Aberdeen Gun Club is--scheduled for May 10,2008. This is always our largest fundraiser of the year
. Proceeds from this are used to fund improvements tothe trap range and clubhouse and to keep the cost of shooting
low. The cost of the ticket is $25.00, whichincludes food, beverages, drawings for 5 guns and two rounds of practice trap that you can use any time during
the year. As in the past, games and a silent auction will be held that evening
. The traps will also be open forthose who wish to come early and do some shooting. Several of our members will be selling tickets and you can
also obtain tickets at the meeting or from league secretaries
. Please help your club by purchasing one or moretickets. We only print a total of 300 tickets, so your chances to win are good.
